There will NOT be a Bend Run on August 21st. It is strongly recommended that you reserve a seat in advance if you are planning on traveling to John Day on the Bend Run on August 18th, or if you are planning on taking the Walla Walla bus on August 22nd.
The People Mover is gearing up for the solar eclipse.
Eclipse Bus Pass wristbands are IN!!! Purchase your Eclipse Bus Pass HERE.
They will be for sale on our website, and in other locations by the end of the month.
Drivers will not have change. Money will be secured in a ticket vault that drivers will not have access to.
People from all over the world will be visiting Grant County.
Expect Heavy Traffic
While business owners are doing all they can to plan ahead for the large amount of people that will be in Grant County or traveling through, there will be shortages of water, groceries and fuel.
Plan ahead. Have your grocery shopping and errands done by August 16th – including pharmacy. Have your vehicles fueled up ahead of time. Stock up on extra water and food.
Commuter Shuttle and Fixed Deviated Routes are currently being developed. Click on the Routes to pull up the maps. The Routes will be:
- Prairie City Loop – Every 30 min
- Prairie City to John Day – Every hour
- Prairie City to John Day Route B – Every 75 min
- 7th St/Main St Loop – Every 40 min
- West Bench Loop – Every 60 min
- Adams Drive Loop – Every 45 min
- Canyon City Loop – Every 45 min
- John Day to Mt Vernon – Every hour
- John Day to Dayville – 3 times a day

We are hiring temporary drivers for the eclipse routes. If interested stop by 229 NE Dayton St, John Day to pick up an application. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are required.
